"Pigment’s Analyst Agent has been a game-changer for the way we work[...] We’re now saving 240 hours a year, have access to consistently reliable insights, and reducing manual errors."

VINCI Airports, a division of VINCI Concessions, oversees the development and operation of 70+ airports across 14 countries. VINCI Airports delivers innovative mobility solutions that enhance the airport experience for passengers, airlines, and partners.
Before implementing Pigment, the Finance team at VINCI Airports faced a key challenge: the time required to produce performance indicators. The legacy tool simply displayed data, lacking advanced calculations or multi-dimensional analysis. Every new insight had to be created in Excel, which introduced risks of error, unstable formulas, and an inability to fully manage the complexity of their international network, including evolving scopes and currency fluctuations.
The outdated tool also suffered from low adoption, an outdated interface, and weak computing power. Frequent downtimes, especially during reporting periods, made data consolidation unreliable. These limitations made the need for a more robust, modern solution not only necessary, but urgent.
The goal was to adopt a tool that was reliable, easy to use, and intuitive, for both the headquarters and subsidiaries worldwide. VINCI Airports shortlisted five EPM solutions and quickly ruled out two after an initial review. For the final three, they held live workshops where each vendor had to build a mini board from scratch using real data and adhere to VINCI's internal data mapping.
To test resilience and accuracy, the team even introduced intentional data errors. They evaluated how well each solution could manage complexities like multiple currencies and local nuances.
Pigment outperformed across all evaluation criteria. Its intuitive interface, smooth modeling, and organized data structure immediately impressed the team. Uniquely, it was also the only solution to catch all the intentional data errors, demonstrating the reliability of its data engine, its capacity to support complex financial operations and the Pigment team's understanding of finance.
The team needed the solution live for the upcoming budget cycle and thanks to a close partnership with Pigment, they went live in under four months and in time for their deadline.
Since implementing Pigment, VINCI Airports has transformed its approach to financial performance. Price-volume analyses, traffic tracking, annual investment plans, HR planning, and intercompany recharging are now centralized and automated.
Custom dashboards allow for precise, business-specific analysis, supporting everything from operational performance to reporting for HQ and press releases.
Adoption was quick, and users immediately noticed gains in data accuracy and process efficiency. Custom bridge functionalities allow teams to analyze unit-specific variations, something previously out of reach.
The ergonomic interface and fast rendering make it easy for any team to navigate and own their data. Each business unit can now analyze autonomously, while maintaining a centralized data architecture.
Custom views and visualizations make operational performance tracking easier and more effective. Integrated workflows foster collaboration with finance directors, enable real-time tracking of key indicators, and support scenario planning, while capturing input and comments at each step.
The move to a single platform has shifted focus from manual tasks to value-added analysis.

VINCI Airports’ FP&A team has seen meaningful gains in time and productivity. Time-consuming and error-prone Excel processes have been replaced with a fast, reliable platform.
This time saved now powers richer analysis with dashboards tailored to the complex needs of their industry, and enables more informed decision-making.
Pigment also simplifies currency and rate impact management, enabling teams to isolate and analyze these variables. Its integration with Vision ensures consistency between airport-level analytical accounting and the Group’s statutory accounting, therefore reinforcing data integrity.
Pigment’s AI capabilities are unlocking new possibilities for VINCI Airports.
After participating in Pigment’s BETA program, the team is now using the Agent Analyst to automate the creation of “asset cards”, detailed financial summaries for each BU and airport. This AI-powered assistant enables filtering by entity, revenue variation analysis, and interactive result exploration.
Previously, each card took up to an hour to create and produced eight times a year, across 70 airports. The AI Agent now automates anomaly detection, improves reliability, and reduces the risk of errors, freeing up valuable time for strategic thinking and meeting prep.
Looking ahead, Pigment will support VINCI on future initiatives including taxonomy and ESG projects, positioning the platform as a true lever for agility and innovation.
At the same time, this partnership continues to shape Pigment’s product roadmap, fueled by ideas and feedback from VINCI’s team.
